If first impressions are any indication, one only has to enter the lobby of this tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean facility. A friendly receptionist who assists with registration greets the patients. The comfortable lobby offers plenty of reading material and coffee. Outside, ample parking is available with a convenient drop-off and pick-up area.
Separated by privacy curtains, the pre-op area is spacious, brightly decorated, and has monitors at each of its beds. Nurses prepare and comfort the patient while the surgeon and anesthesiologist review the procedure with the patient. In Phase I Recovery, there are monitored beds. As the patient wakes from anesthesia and exhibits normal vital signs, he is transferred to Phase II recovery, a section with four recovery lounge chairs. Patients are offered juice and provided post-op instructions. One can read, or visit with family while waiting to be discharged.
